I am a nurse in a level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Over the past few years, we have had children with various orthopedic deformities. These children could not get dressed like other children because their legs were too stiff or unable to straighten. Baby Legs had generously donated leg warmers to these children so they could be more comfortable. Soft and gentle clothing is easier to work with.
It always brings great joy to their parents to see their special children dressed and looking so cute. This is no small matter, for a truly holistic nursing practice is not limited to curing ills. It is treating the mind, body, and spirit of the whole family.
